In addition to our extensive portfolio of tenant improvement work, WKW Development excels in the ‘ground-up’ construction of new buildings. Our history of work in this area includes a wide range of shell buildings, including those for retail, office, medical, or commercial purposes. With some of the most significant national and regional retail brands represented in our construction portfolio, WKW Development is a recognized builder in Hampton Roads for ground-up shopping center construction and retail buildouts.
We have constructed some 250,000 SF of retail shell buildings since 1999 and continue to serve many of the same clients today. Our process begins with collaboration with our area’s most reputable architects, engineers, and design professionals, and relies upon the efforts of a wide range of experienced sub-contractors, all of whom are dedicated to constructing beautiful, functional, and quality structures for our clients and their new occupants.
